Questions fréquentes

Which voices are available?

Whichever your operating system and browser expose - typically 40–150 voices across English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin, and more. Chrome on Windows, macOS Safari, and Android each ship different sets.

Can I download the audio as MP3?

The Web Speech API doesn't expose raw audio for direct MP3 export. For downloadable narration, use the voice-recorder tool alongside TTS playback, or a paid TTS API like ElevenLabs.

Is my text uploaded?

No - synthesis happens locally via your browser's built-in speech engine. Nothing is sent to any server by this page.

Why do some voices sound robotic?

OS-shipped voices vary in quality. Modern Chrome/Edge on Windows include natural neural voices; older systems have simpler synthesizers.
