1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of 712 Tools(“we”, “us”, “our”). Your use of the Site, or of any tool, calculator, generator, converter, or output produced by the Site, constitutes your acceptance of, and agreement to, these Terms in their entirety, including the Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability. We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page; continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Nature of the Site — Informational Only

712 Tools provides free online utilities, calculators, converters, encoders, formatters, generators, and reference material for general informational, educational, and productivity purposes only. The Site does not provide, and nothing on the Site is intended to constitute or be relied upon as: financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, medical, health, fitness, engineering, security, or professional advice of any kind.

Calculators on the Site - including but not limited to mortgage, loan, EMI, interest, compound-interest, tax, salary, tip, discount, BMI, calorie, body-fat, pace, pregnancy, age, date, GPA, grade, ratio, unit-conversion, and any similar tools - produce estimates using generalised formulas and the inputs you provide. They do not account for your individual circumstances, jurisdiction, contract terms, current market conditions, taxes, fees, insurance, health conditions, or any other factor that may affect an actual real-world outcome. Do not rely on the Site to make any financial, medical, legal, or otherwise consequential decision. Always consult a qualified professional (such as a licensed financial advisor, physician, attorney, or accountant) before acting.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE, THE TOOLS, AND ALL CONTENT, CALCULATIONS, RESULTS, AND OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, TIMELINESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, OR QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR ANY TOOL WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANY CALCULATION, CONVERSION, OR RESULT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE.

You acknowledge that formulas, tax rules, interest models, medical reference ranges, currency rates, unit definitions, and other underlying data may change over time, may vary by jurisdiction, and may contain bugs, rounding errors, or simplifications. You are solely responsible for verifying any result before relying on it.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL 712 TOOLS, ITS OPERATOR, OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO: (a) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ANY TOOL; (b) ANY CALCULATION, RESULT, OUTPUT, OR CONTENT PROVIDED BY THE SITE; (c) ANY DECISION OR ACTION YOU TAKE IN RELIANCE ON THE SITE; (d) ANY UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA; OR (e) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

IF, NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, WE ARE FOUND LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE (12) MONTHS TO USE THE SITE, WHICHEVER IS LESS. YOU AGREE THAT THIS LIMITATION IS A REASONABLE ALLOCATION OF RISK AND IS AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN US.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 712 Tools, its operator, owners, contributors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Site or any tool; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your reliance on any output from the Site; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any related systems; (c) to interfere with, degrade, or overload the Site or its infrastructure (including automated scraping at abusive rates); (d) to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code for any non-open-source component; or (e) to process any content that you do not have the legal right to process.

7. Intellectual Property

The design, layout, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and source code of the Site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may use the Site for your personal and business purposes, but you may not copy, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the Site without our prior written permission. Outputs you generate using your own inputs remain yours to use freely.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Site may embed or link to third-party services (for example, analytics or advertising providers, font services, or external references). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party, and your interactions with them are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

10. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with any notices posted on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.

11. Privacy Policy

712 Tools is a static website. The tools on this site run entirely in your browser using standard JavaScript APIs. Any data you paste - text, JSON, regex patterns, tokens, URLs, CSS, HTML, cron expressions, calculator inputs - stays on your device.

No uploads. We do not send your inputs to a server. We do not store them in a database. We do not read them. The Site has no backend for tool data.

Analytics & advertising. The Site may load standard third-party analytics or ad scripts (for example, Google Analytics or Google AdSense) to keep the tools free. These services may collect anonymous usage data (page views, referrers, approximate location, device type, cookie identifiers) subject to their own privacy policies. They do not have access to the contents you paste into the tools themselves.

Local storage. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored in localStorage on your device. Some tools may also cache recent inputs locally so they persist across reloads. Nothing is sent to us.

Cookies. We do not set first-party cookies. Third-party services (such as advertising and analytics providers) may set their own cookies subject to their policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
