Which HTML tags are supported?

All the standard content tags: headings, paragraphs, lists, links, images, tables (as GFM tables), code blocks, blockquotes, bold, italic, strikethrough.

What happens to unsupported tags?

By default, structural tags like <div> and <span> are unwrapped - their content survives. <script>, <style>, and unknown tags are dropped.
